The line between Maxis-Match and alpha CC is definitely more blurred in Sims 3, but as you can see from the picture, Rita's eyes are similar to the cartoony look of Sims 4 (you can see this more clearly with littledica's conversion of Sims 3 eyes to Sims 4), and the skin is even smoother (compare that to the realistic textured skin in Sims Medieval).
